All of these nails were collected from the three unauthorized fire pits pictured below. This is why the Forest Service no longer allows pallet burning. Mtb's beware of flats!

Random Fire Pits
Is Green Canyon so crowded that users have to make new fire pits?
The canyon has numerous picnic and camping areas with nice fire rings, so why are others being created?
A few things can be done to discourage continued use of unauthorized fire pits:
- clean up trash in those areas
- scatter coals and wood remnants
- make it look like the area hasn't been used in a while
- remind users that the canyon has plenty of authorized fire rings

Friends of Green Canyon
Friends of Green Canyon is a program supported by the Bear River Watershed Council, www.brwcouncil.org. All members of the community are invited to make a difference by simply keeping their eyes and ears open to questionable activities that could impact wildlife habitat, public lands, and our community open space.
Green Canyon is a Cache Valley gem. The citizens of North Logan take pride in keeping it well maintained and beautiful. Keep up the good work!
The contact person for Friends of Green Canyon is Chris Conte, he can be reached at c.conte@comcast.net
